request for data - Port Talbot

Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I am looking for daily rainfall data for the month of August 2011 collected in or near Port Talbot. I work for an environmental education charity, the Field Studies Council at the Margam Discovery Centre and would like to teach some A level students about the local flooding issues. Also, average August figures would be useful for comparison. If you can help please let me know.

Hi Bryony
Port Talbot does not have an official Met Office weather station, but there are private weather stations that you can consult online. One that I have used from time to time is the American site www.wunderground.com. I looked up Port Talbot and found this private weather station at the link below. You can navigate around the page to find information about previous weeks, months and years. Hope it helps!
