[wr}Aberfeldy Ice Day by
brian blair
First of the year! at -0.6 C max. The place is frost-bound but beautiful.
Snow has been lying for 9 days and the valley is littered with the decaying
corpses of snowmen.

Old Hand by

Dear All,
I've been a lurker and occasional poster to this group for thousands of
years. Well since soon after its inception (1996-7?) anyway.
I Spent many happy hours digesting the wealth of info presented here. Back
then global warming was a hot scientific subject and it was usually the
subject most likely to prompt me to post. It has been interesting watching
the gradual hijacking of GW...

Today's model interpretation (4/01/06) by
Darren Prescott
Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon on Sunday. Issued 0552,
4 Jan 06.
The models still show the UK as the battleground between mild Atlantic air
and Continental chill this weekend. It's now looking likely that a trough
will push in from the Atlantic by the beginning of next week, although it
won't move across the UK especially quickly. Beyond that the operational GFS...

Rest of the Winter - calling the Arctic High by

Still, better than raging zonal rubbish, but is this type of setup more
inclined to cut off the polar feed we would need for any...
