I find most of what I read here very interesting, I do have problems
with abbreviations. Is there a list of abbreviations used on this group?
Thx. Joe

Where do they get this nonsense from? by
JPG
I heard on BBC Breakfast TV this morning that some newspaper(s) were
saying that we were due to get the snowfall that has recently afflicted
the NE of the US. Just exactly where do they get this nonsense?
Surely not any respectable weather forecasting organisation?
Martin (Incredulous once again at the stupidity of the press and/or
quack forecasting organisations).

Today's model interpretation (16/02/06) by
Darren Prescott
Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon on Monday. Issued 0547,

How reliable a forecasting method is this? by
Jonathan Stott

I suspect not very as the lateness or otherwise of a flower's blooming
would be dependent on previous weather conditions rather than what's to
come.
Surely the weather conditions that are to come also depend on the
previous weather conditions? ;)
