uk.sci.weather slow delivery by
George Booth
Despite looking on here over the last couple of days there were still
262 messages which had arrived overnight, dated 5th, 6th and today. The
random delivery process is actually quite amusing as you now see the
missing bits of threads which helps to make more sense of things.
I blame the snow.
Snow flurries earlier this morning by the way

OT Google posts not showing up on other news feeds? by

Someone else mentioned this too. Ken or Will or ... perhaps? Can't
remember who.
My posts to uk.sci.weather via google groups are not appearing outside
google it seems.
I tend to use google groups from my MacBook at home and the PC at work
as I do not have proper news reader installed on either machine.

Today's model interpretation (7/02/12) by
Darren Prescott[_4_]
Here is a summary of the NWP output for noon on Saturday.
Issued 0449, 7/02/12
The weekend will see a great deal of settled but cold weather over England
and perhaps Wales, with more in the way of cloud and possibly rain further
north and west. Into next week the models are keen to bring milder
westerlies across the UK with high pressure to the SW or south.
Analysis and evolution to T+120...

[WR] Haytor 6/2/12 (another quiet day) by
Eskimo Will
Cloudy with occasional drizzle and light winds.
Been at work today so could not go walking and assess the snow conditions,
but I guess just patches left high up above 500 metres. And in Fernworthy
forest of course where there was a lot left yesterday, enough for a snowball
fight within the group, one lady has it in for me, which is nice :-)
Max. +6.2C (on 6/2!!!). Now +3.4C at 2210.
A cold...
