Just been out to try clearing two drain covers in the street. While I was out the rain rate was 21.18mm/hr @10:34. West Hill is quite steep, and the water runs off the fields at the top of the hill bringing masses of topsoil, stones and, at this time of year, twigs and leaves. The people at the bottom of the hill have a bad time if the drains aren't kept clear by us further up. Luckily eased off...

Brussels on Sunday 9th November Bright with weak sunshine for much of the day through a persistent layer of altostratus. Cloud largely cleared towards dusk. Moderate SW wind backed S after dark.
