Unexpected break in the good weather by
Nick[_3_]
Just woken up to grey skies and what looks to have been quite
significant rain in Southampton. Have to say that this is rather
unexpected, given the discussion here has only been of drizzle on
Thursday / Friday. Was this forecast for down here over the last few
days? (I have to admit I've been using this group as my weather
forecast lately so not been looking at the actual forecasts...)

Today's model interpretation (30/06/10) by
Darren Prescott[_4_]
Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Sunday. Issued
0428z, 30/06/10.
Scotland and Northern Ireland will see rain move in from the west early next
week, with relatively strong winds. Further south and east it'll be much
warmer with less in the way of rain and with lighter winds. The far SE may
avoid most of the rain, with very warm conditions on most days.

"Beefy" shower in Coventry by
MartinR
To coin the TV weather forecasters' latest mangling of the English
language we have just had a "beefy" shower from a developing line of
showers.
Perhaps, with product placement becoming legal on commercial TV, they
could have Oxo sponsoring the forecast!
