Apologies for the lack of an analysis yesterday; I was without power. Here is a summary of the NWP output for noon on Monday. Issued 0448, 5/01/12 Zonality continues to affect the UK with the south of the UK likely to see a fair bit less rain than further north due to high pressure over or near France. Towards the end of the week ECM brings colder conditions but that's not supported by GFS.

My Airbus 320 needed 15 mins de-icing (power wash snow off and then a nice thick green layer of de-icing liquid, urea I believe) before able to fly back to Heathrow from Helsinki yesterday.
