Day 20 with snow cover this winter today (43 same time last year) as the main snow retreats up the valley. My stubborn cold spot behind the screen and next to the small Willow and dry stane dyke still has some cover. Sunshine for most of the day briefly interrupted by slight rain showers out of not much cloud. Very windy for sometime now, blowing at a steady force 6 to 7 (almost gale force 8 with a gust to 50kt at 0913Z) since before midnight, adding a little to the debris strewn about by Tuesday's gale. At present, a shower is passing to the east, producing a partial rainbow, the 4th of the day.
