Quite bright in Brussels but often rather cloudy by

Brussels on Saturday 14th January 2012
Sunshine at times but also cloudy spells. No sun for a couple of hours
mid-afternoon but the cloud cleared again towards dusk. Light W to NW wind
in the morning veered N to NE in the afternoon and NE to E in the evening.
Brussels Uccle 6.5°C - overnight minimum 1.9°C
Brussels Airport 6.2°C - overnight minimum 1.2°C

After the sunshine, light winds, calm sea & clean surf, of the last 3
days a big change this morning.
It's now generally cloudy, windy (gusting 30mph) and colder, around
8C. Although tha'ts not exactly low, with the wind & cloud it feels a
different world to the last few days. The cloud may break up, but with
so much S in the wind, (SSE) I'm not overhopeful. If it backed ESE the
temperature...

Both out on limb and then both blink and find that reality is
boring middle ground. I keep moaning about this and yet I keep doing
it-get excited when the models show up outrageous scenarios.
However the weather is the weather and if this winter is to be totally
unremembered in the annals of weather history then so be it. It's just
those damn models though, they do get ones hopes up when...
