New Years Day Low by
Waghorn
Current satellite imagery shows an impressive cloud head over Ireland with marked striations, heavy
rain (with a few sferics) and a developing cold front. This is analysed as a double frontal structure
on the current Met O chart.
22 Km NMM shows an area of high helicity crossing the UK this afternoon-
http://www.unibas.ch/geo/mcr/3d/meteo/
if this is in phase with the upper air forcing I wonder...

[WR] Dublin - Thunder, Hail! by
JCW
At around 13:00 today there was a single clap of thunder and what can only
be described as a tremendous squall with rain & hail.
The wind, already gusting, picked up quickly with very strong gusts. Looking
out the front window of the house I could barely SEE out the window! The one
or two cars visible had just about come to a standstill while sheets of
rain/hail blew across the green,...

its about 6 weeks earlier than I've ever heard B4.

Oregon Scientific Weather Forecasting Station Model No. BAR998HGN by
Bruce
My mother-in-law has received an Oregon Weather station as above for
Christmas. The instruction manual should have included a list of world
city codes; unfortunately, this has been left out.
Would anyone have a copy, please, for me to send on to her?
Thanks, in hope rather than expectation,
Bruce
