Default Historical weather charts

Hi all

I am researching climate at the moment and I was wondering if somebody
could point me toward a source of historic charts (North Atlantic,
similar to what used to be printed in summarised form in Weather
magazine back in the day).

Ideally would like to type in a date to get the chart(s) for that day.

Many thanks

"Reci".

Thanks for that; however they only go up to 1949 and don't include any
fronts.

I'd guess our old friend copyright restricts the availability of
later, more detailed charts.

This has German DWR 1896-1975:
http://docs.lib.noaa.gov/rescue/data...e_germany.html
Downloads are quite large - 200MiB for 3-month PDF and nearly 400MiB for
TIFF.

You might find other useful stuff by going up a page (links at bottom of
page).

Thanks, that is good for the time Wetterzentrale has been running, but
nothing before about 1998.

I'm mostly interested in the 1960 - 1990 period.
