Parts of northern and northeastern Spain were hit by heavy snowfalls Sunday/
Monday and were on alert as well as the Balearics.
Cataluña for instance was thrown into chaos with road and rail networks
grinding to a halt, thousands left without power/ thousands of schools
closing. Snow fall was down to surface levels with a covering reported on
the beaches at Barcelona and Salou. Spanish TV reports it has not snowed
this heavy there since 1985? Not sure if they mean for March or in general..

I noticed on the video report that some drivers only cleared the
drivers half of their windsheld, and aslo hardly anyone had cleared
the snow off the roofs of their cars. Idiots !
