Anyone have unspecific queries running through their minds about the
wisdom of sending out reporting parties to the adits of the Chunnel?

I gather there were enough teams to cover both ends. For all the
difference their coverage made, they could have had them on a ferry
over the exact location of the fire.

Dumb or what?

Is anything ever, ever, right for you in the whole world? Nothing you
ever write on any ng, including this one, is complimentary to
anything, except to yourself. Don't you like living in this world? To
live in such a constant state of pure hatred against so many things
must be very wearing on your mental health.

I've watched Mike develop over many years. His interner persona is well
honed now.
You'll never get any sense out of him nor see the real person behind
"Weatherlawyer"
I do worry though that his "spells" business is getting the better of him
and might, just might, be
starting to belive it himself.

Love ya Mike!!

When you say "spells" do you mean New Age stuff or more pagan to
witchcraft? LOL

Spells has precedence over menu or algorithms.

I had to laugh at what someone posted on sge yesterday and took the
liberty of crossing it to my moon-base aleph.

My fault for antagonising him but I couldn't resist. He was/is a
better target than Dawlish, he is quite astute in technical things for
one. And I get the impression if we met I'd have fight on my hands.

Not until he's running it?

I think the same thing, too (about me running it, not him).

Those who are happy have reason to be complacent, those who want
change may cross a fine line between reason and treason. Scientific
enquiry merely requires logic, something that god has put in the
hearts of men from the start.

And how could we know good without understanding bad?

Meanwhile Ike is well on its way across North America still known as
an Atlantic storm called Ike and will no doubt re-enter the Atlantic
off Newfoundland with that name.

Wouldn't you think that all the high pressure over the Rockies would
fill it in? Or at least keep it attracted?

Nope, not interested. It's going the way of all storms and nothing
will stop it.

Ike has left the building. Interesting juxtaposing of the last two
serious earthquakes if anyone cares to look.

Shut up, ignorant fool
It'll take weeks to restore power to the hardest hit areas, in the
aftermath of Ike
Maybe your should stop "armchair observations" and get out there and
experience the real thing sometime

Such a shame you're still around, gatecrashing most threads, cause
this place was better before you showed up with your waffle
