Nobody really has a clue what the low pressure over the North Sea will do.
The position and consequently, its effect on us is changing from one run to
the next.

It may be a case of "lets wait and see".

Also - it's forecasting a daytime maximum of 1-2c across most of the UK.

Wouldn't like to trust this forecast at this range. Wouldn't even trust

That chart would normally be the perfect winter set up for this area to get
walloped in a cold north-easterly. I wonder though if the air will be cold
enough to produce anything other than sleety rain this time at low levels.
I'm starting to understand Will's borderline / knife-edge / clobberland
warning.
It's about time we had a real taste of winter again.
