anyone in Michigan?? by
Wxman52
The summer's been pretty good here. Not the extreams like the east's rain or
the west's heat.
Can't complain, just hope the winter isn't bad.

Even the weather is big in Texas by
Gordo
Based on data from 1994 to 2002, Texas had almost four times as many
casualties from extreme weather than any other state. I was looking at this
news portal, www.storydata.com and they publish among other things extreme
weather data. I had no idea Texas weather could be so dangerous... over
8,000 casualties in eight years!

Weatherradar for Greece by
rikkie
Does anyone know where to find recent radar-images for these regions :
South of Italy and Greece ?? I've looked on Google but couldn't find
any ... seems Greece doesn't have any weatherradar available for us
weather-enthusiasts that's vailable freely . And the radar-images for
Italy are concentrated on the northern parts of the country . In
light of the recent severe thunderstorms developing...

Intellicast radar loop problems? by

Anyone else having problems getting Intellicast's regional radar loops
to come up? I've been having trouble all day, will get a frame or
two, then it goes black.
They're loading slow here today too. For loops I prefer NOAA.

New Weather Forum by
Michael Yates
Hello,
I've just set up a new weather forum (2 hours ago) i'm planning on building
a quality weather site. I have already bought a Boltek lightning detector
which cost £450. I plan on buying more hardware for the site. But my first
priority is getting the "Community side" of the site up and running.
Anyone who may be interested in joining the forum please go to the site (at
its temporary site)...

Need software for WX-918 by
Mr.Wizard
Anyone have any good software for the Oregon WX-918 to interface your pc
to this unit? Especially anything written for interfacing to your web
page or packet radio?
I have John Bennetts weather node for the Pett Bros UltimeterII that I
have, but would like to do something with this WX918 I have.
Thanks, Harris

SEVERE WEATHER ALERT by
albert the panther
SEVERE WEATHER ALERT
Certainly most unusual to hear rumbling thunder on a Saturday morning in
Manoa, and the lightning flashes during the night were equally unusual,
but it doesn't really look all that "SEVERE", not to someone who
grew up in Texas.

Hi Temperatures over 100 plus by
Ben Sure
We are really getting some hot weather
with dry humanity, how do people in the
Islands cope with the humanity that leaves
wet the two extremes are not pleasant for anyone.
No wonder the fans and air conditioner are running all the time. Good
for the power companies.
I do not see how the older people or younger people can stay out in the
sun

How accurate is NOAA Weather Radio with SAME? by

How accurate is NOAA Weather Radio with SAME?
I have a NOAA Weather Radio with SAME (the Uniden WX500) and the first one
didn't go off at all. I got it replaced and the second unit went off with
alerts correctly for the first two thunderstorms and then didn't give me a
peep for about 2 months until it gave me a false alert (it was a time when I
should have receieved an alert but it was the wrong...
