tHe hurricane watch net will be activating at 12:00 noon
eastern daylight time, 16:00 UTC on 14325 khz to take
reports from stations in the area of landfall of Alex, which is forecast to be a
hurricane at that time as it makes
landfall near the Texas MExico border.

THe National Hurricane center's amateur station wx4nhc will
be taking these reports for the hurricane center from
amateur radio operators in the area of landfall.

Interested parties are encouraged to listen in, as the net
will have updated track and other forecast information on
the storm, and will present this information in English and
Spanish as well.

If you have transmit capabilities but are not one of the
HWN's recognized relay stations please do not transmit, but
listen only.
