Can imagine, although seems to me you have very red sunsets now and then.

Yes Sir !
last evening was a perfect example. high over the area.
sun setting just right, while we were out walking..
resized only , no color adjustment.. as-is as it were...

Interesting series of cloudstructures, obviously a high-wind-effect.
Looks like fanned airplaneplumes, could be wrong though.
Am I seeing some dirty stuf?

Sunset, a little dirty air and some fanstasic clouds.

2 of the images do have a contrails in them..
But the clouds are clouds, the contrails do not last long enough
to become clouds with the dry air right now.
Its rare when we do not have a contrail or aircraft overhead..
we live under several air routes and have the worldport for UPS
here. so lots of planes day & night.

another set of photos from a few years ago.
this is a fast moving front into the area, (very fast)
in two of the images, you can see a mass of dirty air, believe that its
from the coal-fired power plant a couple of miles from the house.
this wall moved over the area in less than a couple on minutes.
the "Brown" wave of dirt was rolling as it was being pushed along.
kind of weird to see.

Nice Series John. I have to admit though, that's the first "Punk
Rocker" Cloud I've seen! ;-)

Crazy Ed
