1 Attachment(s) Eleven cities tour by Ge Nidee[_2_]
It's freezing for 12 days now here in Holland (night -10-20). Something strange is happening with the Dutchies, some fever. It's called the 11-cities-fever. Everyone wants an 11-cities-tour (elfstedentocht: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elfstedentocht), a 200 km skatingtour through the province of Friesland (Fryslan). All the media on TV, radio, internet, is talking of nothing else. The...

1 Attachment(s) Sunrise on Lake Powell - Sunrise on Lake Powell.jpg by Clayton Langstaff
Here's a sunrise I took at Lake Powell Resort, while on my Arizona tour, in October, of 2010. I was out by the Lake waiting for this shot at 5:30 in the morning.

1 Attachment(s) Freezing IJssellake by Ge Nidee[_2_]
It's cold now in Holland, freezing 6-7 at night. That's not so bad, but the cold eastern wind makes it feel much colder. They hope on smooth ice here, for skating. We only have boxed ice, very rough surface, unfit to skate, caused by the wind. This was shot at Laaxum, across the IJssellake. The 'fata morgana' is Enkhuizen, 20 km's away. Somewhere in the middle there's some ice forming, the...

1 Attachment(s) O.T. Classic Western Image by Edward Erbeck
If there was a full moon rising in the background and a Saguaro Cactus or two (they don't grow naturally around here although folks have successfully grown them - Too Cold in the Winter) this could be a Cliché. I've been here almost 12 years and have never had a Photo Op. like this before! Crazy Ed
