What a terrible mess.....I heard there were baseball size hail in some
areas....

I sure hope the people are OK, they could have been killed had the tree gone
all the way through the house. Glad your OK..

Tom Skilling reported that size hail on the news last night, somewhere
to the south and west of Chicago. That's something you wouldn't want to
be hit by.

Yeah, I wouldn't like that. This is a stormy week. We lost power for a
while today, but many others have been without it for several hours. I am
thankful for the rain.

Apparently no one was hurt. The base of the tree was rotten on the inside,
so it didn't take much.

We had a really bad storm here last week, we lost our power too for several
hours. But I don't think there was any damage although we had high winds.

That's got to be a drag. We had another (very welcome) rain yesterday, with
more predicted. Hope they got a bigger tarp.
