RMK: A muggy, murky morning. The haze appears to have considerable
vertical depth.

RMK: Slight rain started 0825z. Thunder to south from 0845z. Looks very
black in that direction.

RMK: Thunderstorm 0845-0915z accompanied by some very heavy rain
just after 09z. Rate briefly reached 103 mm/hr according to the TBR.
Slight/mod rain then continued till about 1345z after which the cloud
gradually broke up to give a sunny end to the afternoon. TBR measured
15.2 mm. Max 18.2 so far. Much more pleasant than recent days. All we
need now is to get the dew point down to single figures.
